I love how easy it is to get filtered water using this survival water filter. I have used it when hiking with friends and even if you run out of water in your water bottle, you can easily stop by a creek or stream and feel ok with drinking the water because of this filter. I stopped by a stream while hiking because I did run out of water in my water bottle and drinking the filtered water that came out of the straw was great. The water tasted great and it was coming out of the straw clear (which it definitely was not before filtering).
I feel that this would be great to have as part of your disaster preparedness kit or to keep in your camping/hiking supplies just in case you run out of water while on your adventure. It is very easy to use, so I feel that it would be suitable for pretty much any age (as long as they are able to drink out of a straw). It has a convenient strap on it (with a breakaway clip) for wearing around your neck, if you choose.
