It's Time To Celebrate!!

I reached a major milestone today! I have been doing freelance work via Fiverr and other websites (and just in general on my own as well) and today was a major milestone for my freelance work. I was blessed to have been contacted through email by a Jamaican tourism agency in regards to managing their Wordpress website (as part of my freelance services). This is my very first client from somewhere that is not in the United States!

I think that what I want to emphasize most about this accomplishment is the fact that you should never give up on your goals and dreams because believe me I have wanted to give up many times because freelance work can be stressful, draining and just super tedious to deal with, especially if you haven't really gotten your name out there yet. (Like me.) :)

Today I was thinking back on all of those times when I was so frustrated that I even went so far as to consider shutting down my freelance profiles and my website because I didn't see the benefit of being involved in the game of luck that is freelance work. You never know when someone will find you/ your site and need the services that you have to offer. If I would have given up in those times when I was feeling discouraged, I would not have been able to be posting about this accomplishment today. I am proud of myself for not giving up on my goal of providing for myself. Because I was so excited about the opportunity to work with this new client, I completed their work super quick and they told me that they had approximately 25 (possibly more) other projects that they would need to be done in the near future and that they planned on coming back to use my services again when that time comes.

I'm not trying to brag, but I feel super proud of myself today and I feel like I have come a long way from where I used to be professionally. Celebrate with me!!
